Tom Brady reveals the NFL player he fears playing against the most

New England Patriots v Tennessee Titans

Tom Brady has faced some mean defenses over the years he has been the quarterback of the New England Patriots, some which he has come out on top against, and some which have got the better of him.

Simply put, you don't win five Super Bowls without going through at least a couple of some of the best defenses the NFL has ever produced. This is why many believe Brady is the best quarterback of all-time.

However, even a player as good as Brady has his kryptonite.

During an interview on Westwood One with Jim Gray, via NBC Sports, the Patriots quarterback revealed that the defensive player he fears the most is former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.

He said: "There's been a lot of them. You know what the problem with those d-linemen is? They're all faster than me, because I'm pretty damn slow. But the one guy that I wouldn't want chasing me down would probably be Ray Lewis, because he played with a vengeance.

"When he got to me, he wanted to make sure he knew that he got to me, and he usually cleaned my clock pretty good. So he's the one who would probably be in my nightmares."

It's not surprising that Lewis is the one player that Brady feared the most, as many quarterbacks would probably say the same as the Patriots star too.

Lewis had a phenomenal 17-year career in the NFL, and is widely considered as an all-time great in his position and the greatest player in Ravens history.

Ray Lewis

He was a 13-time Pro Bowler, a two-time Super Bowl champion, and had over 2,000 tackles, 41.5 sacks, and 31 interceptions across his NFL career. He was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility earlier this year.

Brady will likely play against a couple more mean defenses before he decides to call it a day on his NFL career, but in his mind, there will not be another player he fears more on an opposing team that Lewis.

Brady and the Patriots had their bye this week, and they will play against the New York Jets in Week 12.
