Luis Suarez has already cemented his status as one of Barcelona's greatest ever players.

The Uruguayan striker has notched 162 goals in just 210 games for the Blaugrana since his arrival from Liverpool in 2014.

He even reached a century of goals in just 114 appearances, frightening numbers.

Throughout his time at Barca, he's been the only player on the planet keeping near the output of both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nevertheless, at 31-years-old, Barca will have to start looking for a player to take over from Suarez in the near future.

With a lot of his game based on his pressing and work ethic, it's safe to say the Uruguayan may not have too many years left at the very highest level.

And it seems Barca have narrowed their search down to just three players, all of them aged 23 or under.

Multiple sources have confirmed to ESPN FC, per Sport, that Genoa's Krzysztof Piatek (23), Lille's Nicolas Pepe (23) and Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic (20) are the trio of candidates.

Sport confirm that a deal to extend Munir's contract - which runs out in the summer - is complicated and unlikely to happen.

The only other internal option for Barca would be Paco Alcacer, who is currently shining on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

However, the former Valencia striker is determined to sign for the Bundesliga side on a permanent basis.

So it seems Barca are targeting youthful names which have slightly gone under-the-radar and steering clear of the bigger, more expensive names.

The likes of Mauro Icardi and Kylian Mbappe would likely be tempted with a switch the Nou Camp, but both would command an astronomical fee - especially Mbappe.

All three of Barca's confirmed targets have been in sensational form so far in 2018/19.

Piatek has nine Serie A goals in 12 games, Pepe has eight goals and fives assists in 13 and Jovic leads the way in the Bundesliga goal scorer standings with nine in nine.
