Jay Deas, Deontay Wilder’s long-tenured coach, has revealed hidden tactics used by Tyson Fury in the ring on episode one of Showtime’s all access documentary: 'Wilder vs Fury'.

Fury is set to face the WBC heavyweight champion in a colossal showdown in Los Angeles on December 1.

After spending nearly three years out of the ring, amid battles with depression and drug addiction, the ‘Gypsy King’ only returned to action in tune-up victories over Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta over the summer.

The British boxer is now jumping in at the deep end with the biggest fight of his career against undefeated Alabama-native Wilder, who has knocked out 39 of the 40 opponents he has faced.

The American is adamant he will knock out the former four belt holder, even though the 6ft 9 giant is renowned for his self proclaimed “outstanding boxing skills.”

There is no love lost between these two warriors and fight fans can expect all hell to break loose on December 1.

Both undefeated fighters are polar opposites from a technique stand-point and it will be interesting for all to see if Wilder can land one of his devastating KO shots, or if Fury will prevail with a more conservative style on the counter.

In Showtime’s behind-the-scenes docuseries on the fighters, Wilder’s trainer Deas reveals specific tactics that he envisions Fury will utilise on the ‘Bronze Bomber.’

Watch Wilder's team discuss Fury's tactics at 16:00 in the below video.

“He picks crumbs….he fights in between spaces, like when there is a break or something he will jump and try and get one or two in,” Deas said to Wilder during a training session in LA.

“If you were to get close to him, he’s going try and tie you up and then counter quickly. You’ve got to be on point at all times, be in your stance early as he will break and then jump at you.”

Deas went on to reveal the significant strides Wilder has made during training camp and expects his fighter to knock out Fury, and book himself a clash with unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on April 13 at Wembley Stadium.
