As far as the year 2018 goes, it's been a very up-and-down one for Raw superstar Alexa Bliss.

On one hand, she appeared in a WrestleMania singles match for the first time against Nia Jax in a losing effort.

But she got back on-track by winning the Women's Money In The Bank match, and then on the same night cashing it in on a beaten-up Jax during her match with Ronda Rousey to capture her fifth Women's Championship.

Things took a turn for the worse though as she lost the title to Rousey at SummerSlam, before failing in her contractually-obligated rematch at Hell In A Cell a month later.

Since that night on September 16, she hasn't stepped inside a WWE ring as an active competitor. She was slated to team with Mickie James against Trish Stratus and Lita at Evolution, but was pulled and replaced by Alicia Fox.

And when she was announced as the team captain in a non-wrestling role for Survivor Series, alarm bells really started to ring with WWE fans about how serious the injury she was carrying could be.

Mike Johnson of PW Insider though has revealed all on her future, including what could be next for Bliss.

Courtesy of Ringside News, Johnson explained on his Elite audio show that Bliss went through medical testing during Survivor Series weekend, and was given no clear timetable on when she was able to return to the ring.

So it's very much up in the air as to when Bliss will be cleared to return to action, but it may not be anytime soon - it's two months and counting as of now.

Johnson also said he had heard backstage mumblings of Bliss becoming the Raw General Manager once the Tables, Ladders and Chairs event is over next month, which would imply that Baron Corbin would be defeated by Braun Strowman at the event.

Despite Johnson stating that plans change quickly all the time and that he didn't 100% know if that was the plan, it does seem like a smart move to transition Bliss to a role as such whilst she gets healthy again.

She's confident on the microphone and would make a great untouchable boss with the attitude she has.

But her long-term future is that of a superstar, and we all hope she gets healthy really soon.
