WWE's future plans on mentioning Roman Reigns' illness after Dean Ambrose's distasteful insult on Raw

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are set to embark on what could be a long, personal feud on Monday Night Raw.

On the same night that Roman Reigns revealed his leukaemia diagnosis, the remaining two-thirds of The Shield captured the Raw Tag Team Championships once again - before Ambrose shockingly turned on Rollins.

We finally got an explanation last week as to why he did it - The Shield and the burden of watching their back made Ambrose weak.

Following Rollins' victory over Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series, he continued his rivalry with the Lunatic Fringe on Raw - but Ambrose's promo directed at Rollins really irked a large section of WWE fans, and with good reason.

Ambrose claimed that The Shield did 'more harm than good' over the last six years, and that they would all pay for what they did - as the old saying goes 'what goes around comes around'.

He claimed that they'd all get what they deserved - and then said Reigns has to answer to the 'man upstairs' for his part in the destruction the faction caused over the years.

You could hear an audible group of gasps echo around the area as Ambrose said it, and it's quite unbelievable that they'd reference Reigns' illness in such a way.

Of course it has to pass a group of writers, and then Vince McMahon to be said live on-air, and we don't know if it was Ambrose who pitched to say it, but it seemed really distasteful, and the WWE fans agreed in their droves.

WWE fans have been critical over Dean Ambrose mentioning Roman Reigns and his illness in a promo live on Raw.

But it may not be the last we hear of such insults.

Per Cageside Seats and their rumour roundup, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the WWE will continue to use Reigns and references to his illness in storylines going forward.

It's a really cheap way to get heat in a rivalry, and with one like Ambrose and Rollins, it's really unnecessary.

Fans will occasionally get what they want when they react in numbers, but it seems this time the company are dead-set on using the Big Dog's struggles to get reactions.
