If there's one superstar who deserves a change of luck on the main roster in WWE, it surely has to be The Miz.

Arguably on the hottest streak of his career right now - even shining brighter than his WWE Championship run in 2011 - the reality star-turned-wrestler perhaps hasn't got the accolades he deserves in the last few years for his solid character work.

He made the best out of a bad situation in last years WrestleMania feud with John Cena, and this year probably should have been in the SmackDown title picture, but lost a number-one contenders match in less than three minutes in October at Super Show-Down.

Despite playing the arrogant, cocky heel character for most of his career, things may have started to change for the Ohio-born star.

The A-lister received a noticeably-warm reception though from the SmackDown crowd during his Miz TV segment this past week, even before he noted that Los Angeles was indeed his adopted home.

He then begged to team up with the babyface authority figure Shane McMahon, and despite being on the end of a shock loss there was no post-match beat down of any sort.

And when SmackDown went off the air, Miz faced long-time nemesis Daniel Bryan in a match for his newly-won WWE Championship.

Of course their feud has been based on Miz being the bad guy, but things have changed in recent weeks, and it was Bryan that ended up playing the antagonist in this instance.

Some of the crowd that attended couldn't believe what they were seeing as Miz was playing a full-blown fan favourite, and although he didn't win the match, his post-fight promo sounded like a turn was in the works.

Fans captured Miz's speech on camera, where he thanked the fans for attending over the course of the four days in LA.

Miz himself even seemed shocked by the reaction he got, exclaiming: “My entire career in WWE, I don’t think I’ve ever had this amazing of a reaction."

The former WWE champion continued by saying: "We want to thank you Los Angeles because as much as I consider myself awesome, for the past four days you and the Staples Center have been awesome!”

We're totally down for a face Miz, it would be an intriguing alteration to what is already a fantastic star.
