Manchester United were once again left frustrated as they laboured to a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils have struggled for consistency all season long and drawing a blank against struggling opposition has delivered a huge below to Jose Mourinho's plan to reach the top four before 2019.

And the United manager expressed his irritation after the game, telling the media: "I would say a very bad result. It's not a point, it's two points that we lost.

"The objective was in these eight matches until the end of December to recover positions, to get points, to short distances, to get close to the top four and in the end we lose two points.

"So later Chelsea play against Tottenham and we are not going to win points in relation to these two opponents."

Lindelof injured vs Palace

And another source of frustration during the game concerns Victor Lindelof, who appeared to injure his thigh during the closing moments of the game.

Despite a difficult start to the season, the Swedish defender has shown signs of improvement and has the backing of fans compared to the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

Nevertheless, he could be out of the team until further notice with footage showing that the 24-year-old was struggling badly and wanted to be substituted.

Lindelof's incredible commitment

With the scores level, though, Lindelof still had a job to do and with just seconds left on the clock, he was remarkably called into action.

Despite barely being able to run, the Swede produced a brilliant display of defending, before proceeding to dribble his way out of the situation and retain possession.

The fact he was able to do all that while injured is simply incredible - check out the video down below:

It's no wonder the clip has already garnered 3,000 'likes.'

The video certainly doesn't reflect well on Jordan Ayew who was unable to catch the United man and couldn't dispossess him on the touchline.

It was fantastic commitment from Lindelof and he was applauded for his actions by supporters, but it probably won't help his fitness in the long-term.

When asked if Lindelof was injured after the game, Mourinho explained: "I believe so, I have to believe so. I always say that this is the period of the injuries.

"When they are not injured in the national team they come to the clubs and they are injured in the clubs and he played against Russia three days ago or two days ago and of course we need him and he played and he was probably the best player of the team.

"He was a brave guy, probably punishing himself, who knows, for how long he will be out, but a fantastic example."
