There were unsavoury scenes before the Copa Libertadores final between River Plate and Boca. The two Argentine sides are fierce rivals and there is undoubtedly a lot on the line for both sides. The first leg in Boca ended 2-2, setting up what should have been a mouthwatering tie at El Monumental. The second leg was due to be played on Saturday, but it appears that will no longer be the case.As Boca's players were arriving for the game, they were attacked by a wave of River Plate fans who threw projectiles at their team bus. Many windows were smashed, while other players, including Carlos Tevez, were reported to be suffering from the affects of tear gas that was deployed by police offices. One player, Pablo Pérez, has even gone to hospital. The game has since been delayed, although it is unknown whether Boca's players will want to be in a good enough condition, both physically and mentally, to play.A video has now emerged showing the extent of the attack. And it looks crazy. Watch the video below:

That is just mental. What a terrifying position to be in if you were on the Boca team coach.

Those on the coach must have been expected for a hostile reception, although none would have predicted to be on the other end of an attack like that.

Images from inside the Boca dressing room also show the poor state that Boca's players are in.

Such a sad day in Argentinian football.

The game has been billed to be one of the biggest in Argentinian history, but it seems the tie will always be remembered for the events that happened before the game.
