After showing so much promise in his first year on the main roster, it's fair to say Bray Wyatt hasn't really fulfilled all of his potential. It's not all down to him though, WWE have time-and-time again booked him into a corner in poor feuds where he doesn't get the upper hand.A month-long reign as WWE Champion in 2017 was very forgettable as well, as he dropped it to Randy Orton and it was soon forgot about.Wyatt became reborn earlier this year following a feud with Matt Hardy, as he teamed up with him to win the Raw Tag Team Championships, but with Hardy suffering back problems, the duo quietly disbanded in August.Whilst there was an explanation for Hardy stepping away from the ring for a while, Wyatt literally disappeared without a trace off television. There was no attempt to re-package or re-invent the Wyatt character, or simply take it in a new direction, they've just kept him away from Raw.That's a shame in itself as a fully-focused Wyatt can be one of the best hard-hitting superstars on the whole roster. But there's a really good chance that the return of the Eater Of Worlds to Monday nights could be coming sooner rather than later.WWE ran an event in Cincinnati under the moniker 'Starrcade', the show that used to be the premier event of World Championship Wrestling every year. And when acting Raw GM Baron Corbin issued an open challenge to anyone backstage, it was answered by Wyatt, appearing for the first time in three months, to a great reaction from the crowd.

Sounds like the crowd have indeed missed him, but the question now is - how does the WWE book him going forward?

It looks like he will be a babyface after answering the heel Corbin's challenge, and star faces are what Raw is lacking at the moment.

An extended break may have been what Wyatt needed, and long-term fans of the superstar will be hoping to see his face on their screens in the near future.
