We're almost in the final month of 2018, which means the build-up to the Royal Rumble will start very, very soon. And we all know the Rumble kick-starts the Road to WrestleMania, with the winners of the two 30-person battle royals getting title shots at the event. The upcoming Mania will take place in April 2019 from the MetLife Stadium in New York, the scene of WrestleMania 29 where John Cena defeated The Rock for the WWE Championship.WWE always tries to stack the card with star power, and in recent years have had special segments with big stars, such as John Cena saving The Rock from the Wyatt Family in 2016, and now-Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey joining The Great One in the ring the year before at the Levi's Stadium to confront Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. And another certain MMA star has hinted at the possibility of getting involved with the company - none other than Conor McGregor. After Becky Lynch commented on an article this week that compared her to the Notorious one, McGregor replied to tell her to call him when she needs 'proper backup' - to which Lynch hinted at him making a Mania appearance by saying she heard that New York is 'nice in the spring'.

So here are four reasons why it makes total sense for McGregor to make a special appearance at the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

1. Money

You can bet your bottom dollar that McGregor would get paid a ton of cash to promote and appear at the event.

Everyone knows McGregor likes money, and certainly likes to flash it about.

He might ask for a lot to appear, but Vince - pay the man!

2. Crossover appeal

WWE and UFC seemingly have a good working relationship, they both work with Brock Lesnar and he was allowed to return to the company to fight Mark Hunt in 2016 whilst under contract with WWE.

Dana White presumably gave them the go-ahead for Rousey's appearance in 2015, and with him also letting McGregor pursue a big-money boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, he will surely be open to letting his biggest star show up in the WWE.

3. Could help Becky Lynch become a bigger star

Lynch proclaims herself as 'The Man' nowadays, and with good reason. She's got more eyes staring at her than ever with her amazing character work, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani admitted he was a massive fan earlier this week.

Despite all this, McGregor being in her corner for a potential Mania match with Rousey would lift her to even loftier heights, giving her even more mainstream appeal - something that WWE love.

4. Showdown with The Rock

The biggest star in wrestling and movies against the biggest star in MMA with microphones in hand? Who in their right mind wouldn't want to see that?

You could guarantee millions of eyes would be glued to the screen if the two went one-on-one with each other, it doesn't even have to be physical.

A mixed tag match pitting Lynch and McGregor against Rousey and The Rock could work if it wasn't for Johnson's hectic movie schedule, but there's already people out there that want this to happen.

So come on Vince and Dana, work it out to get McGregor in the WWE for one night, and one night only.
