Mohamed Salah continued his rich vein of form with another goal against Watford over the weekend.

After setting the standard incredibly high during his first season at Liverpool, many considered the Egyptian's start to the 2018-19 campaign to be somewhat underwhelming.

Nevertheless, Salah has raised two fingers to the critics in recent weeks with the goals continuing to flow and the trip to Vicarage Road saw him find the net again.Salah has enjoyed success against the Hornets in the past and his opening strike - helped on its way by Ben Foster - was the turning point as Liverpool ran away 3-0 victors. And when the referee blew the final whistle, Salah boasted a record of nine goals in 18 appearances.

Salah vs Hazard

It certainly isn't the astronomical numbers of last season, but it still keeps in the mix for the Golden Boot alongside players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero.

Perhaps the most interesting debate for Premier League fans, though, has been the rivalry between Salah and Eden Hazard.

Although there's no real animosity between the two players, the contest of the league's deadliest wide-men has become a constant cause of arguments on Twitter.

Liverpool fan's viral tweet

After Hazard's stunning winner at Anfield earlier in the season, it seemed the upper hand lay in west London but the tide has started to change in recent weeks.

And with Hazard struggling to make an impact during Chelsea's 3-1 defeat to Tottenham, fans have been going back and forth across social media.

However, amid all the tweets, one particular post has stood above the rest and has practically gone viral with over 5,000 'likes' already.

It comes from a Liverpool fan and as you can see, it's pretty emphatic. Take a look at the post down below:

Can we get a mic drop for that please?

Although it would be difficult to settle the Salah vs Hazard on statistics alone, it's pretty hard to argue with the numbers on this occasion and how the two players have been represented.

No matter where you stand on the debate, it's been very close this season and Salah hasn't been given the credit he deserves at times.

There was suggestions that Hazard was at his prime this season and Salah was struggling, yet both players are almost even by November.

As far this weekend is concerned, though, there's no doubt that Salah holds the advantage and the Liverpool man is certainly in better form.

However, when you possess the raw ability and talent of Hazard, it would unwise to write him off.

Supporters will have to wait until May when they can truly judge not only how Hazard and Salah have performed, but also Chelsea and Liverpool overall.

After all, it's a marathon and not a sprint.
