Diego Maradona made a surprise return to management when he took over the reigns at Mexican second-division side, Dorados.
The Argentine manager joined the club in September having left his post as Al-Fujairah SC boss in April.
The Mexican club were ecstatic to have him as their new manager.
Dorados' goalkeeper, Gaspar Servio, told TyC Sports, per ESPN: "That one of the greatest of all time and the top idol that we have [in Argentina] will coach us gives us pride.
"We are very happy with the experience he will bring. We need someone like Diego. We found out [Thursday] through rumours but it surprised us because still had a coach.
"I think [Maradona] will take us where we need to go. I hope he is the person that leads us to promotion to the top flight."
But, how is he doing in Mexico?
It turns out that he's doing pretty well.
Maradona won his first game as manager in a 4-1 victory over Cafeteleros of Tapachula and immediately hit out at his critics.
"Some people said Maradona's useless," he said. "There were a lot of stupid people going on television to fill up the time.
"I hope they'll come to the pitch now and look at my record and see what we're actually doing, see that I know how to do this."
And, just a week ago, Maradona guided his side Ascenso MX semifinals. Following that victory against Mineros de Zacatecas, the Argentine had tasted defeat just once in his nine games as manager.
The 58-year-old is never far from the headlines with his antics both on and off the pitch.
And now, he has attracted even more after his bizarre interview after Dorados' game against Juarez.
When asked if what he thinks of the Mexican league, Maradona froze and simply could not muster an answer.
His pause went on for well over 10 seconds with those interviewing him just looking baffled.
Watch it below:
Even by Maradona's standards this is weird. He did eventually answer the question, thankfully.
