Millwall utility man Tamika Mkandawire has signed a new extended contract at The Den that will keep him at the club until summer 2013.

The former Leyton Orient centre-half was signed by Kenny Jackett at the start of the season but has since been playing in a central midfield role, earning rave reviews.

The reward comes after only 11 first team games in all competitions, including the 1-1 draw with Norwich in which Mkandawire won the man-of-the-match award.
