Ever since Becky Lynch became the breakout star of WWE, the Women's Championship has featured a lot more prominently at the top of SmackDown Live.Even the storyline between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan can't be positioned in the prime spots due to the Irishwoman's popularity, and she made her first appearance since before Survivor Series last night, after being in 'doctor jail'.Lynch's return to the blue brand sparked a new argument with Charlotte Flair - remember this is the woman that said she was fighting for the Lasskicker at Survivor Series against Rousey. She then refuted that claim by saying she only fought for herself, positioning themselves as rivals again, before Paige dropped a huge pay-per-view related bombshell on the pair. The SmackDown GM announced that at Tables, Ladders and Chairs next month, Lynch and Flair would take part in the eponymous match for the SmackDown Women's Championship. This drew ire from the rest of the roster, believing Flair to be getting too many shots at the belt - which does ring true as she lost a Last Woman Standing match clean as a whistle at Evolution. So Paige set up a Battle Royale main event where the winner would be added to the bout and make a Triple Threat. And after being widely-cheered when Lynch had to pick a new opponent to face the UFC Hall of Famer at Survivor Series, Asuka has finally got her shot at the title after last-eliminating Sonya Deville.

After coming up from NXT in late 2017, the Japanese star quickly ascended to stardom by winning the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble, but her two-and-a-half year undefeated streak was ended at the hands of Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania.

Fans were livid at that, and even angrier when she repeatedly lost to Carmella in her next rivalry, pretty much ending her mystique and everything that was important about her.

There's now a lot of ecstatic fans on social media who are welcoming the Empress Of Tomorrow's re-emergence back into the title picture.
