Loris Karius' time in Turkey with Besiktas has been well monitored by football fans in the UK.

After his two high-profile errors in the Champions League for Liverpool at the end of last season, many have been wondering if he could ever recover his form and confidence.

So far with Besiktas, he's struggled to prove the doubters wrong, with a number of errors with the Turkish side doing the rounds on social media.

While the club are reportedly keen on making his two-year loan from Liverpool permanent, Karius didn't do his reputation much good in the Europa League against Sarpsborg.

Besiktas went into the game rock-bottom of the group and in desperate need of three points to fight for qualification.

However, in just six minutes, they were 2-0 down to the Norwegian side and Karius was very suspect for both goals.

FIRST GOAL

The German was caught in no-mans land as Rashad Muhammed simply flicked the ball over him and passed the ball into the net.

That was after just 46 seconds...

SECOND GOAL

This time, Karius is caught out by an outrageous 40-yard effort from Tobias Heintz, with the former Liverpool man rooted to the spot.

Should a top-level keeper be saving that? It's hard to tell, but his positioning could probably have been better.

KARIUS FORGETS HOW TO PICK UP A BALL

And finally, Karius inexplicably forgets how to pick up a ball which is glanced into his area by a Sarpsborg player, stumbling over and handing the hosts a corner.

The lad just looks bereft of confidence.

Thankfully for Karius, his teammates were on hand to bail him out, scoring two goals in quick succession, before a late winner to earn a priceless 3-2 win.

Former Sunderland man Jermain Lens and Brazilian striker Vagner Love scored the goals within four minutes of each other, before a 90th minute winner from Lens.

Karius certainly owes his teammates one, with the Turkish side now second in Group I.
