Last week on Monday Night Raw, Braun Strowman revealed to the WWE Universe that he was about to undergo surgery on his elbow.

Following the announcement, reports emerged stating that the injury could be worse than initially feared, and that he could possibly miss his TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match against Baron Corbin next month.

WWE fans will be glad to hear that The Monster Among Men's elbow surgery was a success last Tuesday, and a return date for him has now been set.

According to PWInsider, Strowman is scheduled to appear on next week's Monday Night Raw from Houston, Texas, just one week on from his elbow surgery.

However, the report also states that there is no word when he will be cleared to return to the ring, meaning the status for his match against Corbin at TLC on December 16 is still up in the air.

A lot rides on the match between Strowman and Corbin at TLC next month. If The Monster Among Men wins, Corbin will be stripped of all authoritative power and Strowman will receive a Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble.

However, if The Lone Wolf wins, he will become the full-time general manager of Raw.

According to reports, WWE may have backup plans for TLC if Strowman is unable to compete. WWE could change the match in two different ways if they are forced to make adjustments.

Braun Strowman is currently scheduled to face Baron Corbin at TLC

One change could see the match changed into a six-man tag team match, with Strowman teaming up with Finn Balor and Elias, while Corbin teams up with Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.

Another change could see Bray Wyatt return to Raw for the first time in months and take the place of The Monster Among Men and face The Lone Wolf instead.

In truth though, WWE can't afford for Strowman to miss TLC, as the Raw brand has no true top main event babyface star without him.

Many fans have already called this week's Raw the worst in the show's history, but more bad shows could be on the horizon if The Monster Among Men is forced to spend more time on the sidelines than originally expected.
