WWE could have a new authority figure on Monday Night Raw in a couple of weeks time depending on how Baron Corbin gets on in his match at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs next month.

Corbin will be fighting to keep hold of his authority on Raw on December 16 when he faces Braun Strowman in a TLC match. If he wins, he becomes the permanent general manager of Raw.

However, if The Lone Wolf loses, not only will The Monster Among Men receive a Universal title shot at the Royal Rumble, but Corbin will also lose all authority on the red brand.

If Corbin does lose at TLC next month, then a spot will open up for a new authority figure on Raw, and a WWE legend has already put his name forward as a potential replacement if one is needed.

Following Raw this week, Matt Hardy told the world on Twitter that he would be interested in becoming the next general manager of WWE's red brand.

He said: "These DASTARDLY GMs are abusing their positions & power on #RAW.

"This brand needs an EXTREME double dose of #WOKEN Mattitude.. Only 1 man can fix a #BROKEN #RAW.. and that’s Matt Hardy."

Bray Wyatt, as well as several WWE fans, are behind seeing Hardy become Raw's next general manager as well.

Despite retirement reports, Woken Matt Hardy has been taking time off from the WWE recently due to his back fusing with his pelvis.

Before taking time off, Hardy was teaming up with Bray Wyatt as the tag team The Deleters of Worlds, but this group disbanded when Hardy stepped away from the ring to deal with his injuries.

The illustrious former tag team champion hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since he wrestled alongside Wyatt for the last time back in September at a house show against the teams of Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre as well as The B-Team.

Hardy's last televised match came during an episode of Raw back in August this year against The B-Team and The Revival.

It would, therefore, be great to see Matt back on TV again, and if he was to be Raw's general manager with his Woken gimmick it should make for some delightful storylines on WWE's red brand.
