Although Stone Cold Steve Austin hasn't competed since WrestleMania 19 and never will again, that will never stop the talk of another match for the Hall of Famer.

Over the years, the Texas Rattlesnake has explained which superstars he's been impressed by, which ones need some extra work and even those he'd like to work with.

RETIREMENT

Again, Austin isn't saying he'll return but there's always going to be that desire to work with some of the exciting names that are breaking out now who could have been great fun to work with.

Now, Austin is back at it again on the Steve Austin Show where he revealed the name of two Monday Night RAW stars he'd like to work with if he ever did somehow make a WWE return.

The first isn't a massive shock, as we never got the fully-fledged feud between Austin and Brock Lesnar, but the second name may come as a surprise.

Lots of fans love him, and it seems Austin is also a fan after he revealed that he'd be interested in working with Elias to take him to a new level in the WWE.

PRAISE

According to Still Real to Us, he said: "I’m good friends with Brock Lesnar and it’d be fun to work with Brock ’cause I was supposed to all those years ago.

“I also really think Elias is doing well. I’d like to work with that guy to elevate him. I think he’s on his way to being a top guy.

"I’ve known Brock forever and we’re good friends. But Elias has been making more and more progress. The character is coming around. The guitar work is great. Damn good hand in the ring. Great gimmick. He’s working baby (face) now and I think that’s great.”

Elias hee been drawing universal praise ever since he made the jump from NXT to the main roster, without prior success on NXT.

He's no competing as a face opposite Bobby Lashley, which is a smart move by WWE as the fans haven't been able to get behind Lashley whereas a heel Elias was arguably one of the most popular names on the roster.

It was also recently revealed that Elias was expected to dethrone Seth Rollins as the Intercontinental Champion where it's claimed Dean Ambrose would have cost The Kingslayer the chance to retain.

Although he's not a champion right now, praise from Austin will be enough to show him he's heading in the right direction.
