There's never any harm in making predictions in the WWE, especially since most of them fail to come to fruition in many cases.

Predictions that fans make can easily be forgotten, but when WWE.com publishes a bold prediction piece then it's clear that it's something the fans will remember for quite some time.

PREDICTIONS

That's exactly what's happened on Reddit with one fan bringing to light a five-year prediction WWE made back in 2014.

Even though there's still one year remaining, the predictions seem to be quite a way off which has the majority of Reddit in hysterics at the inaccuracy.

The first prediction saw WWE's editors claiming that with his career winding down, John Cena would be the general manager of Monday Night RAW. While his career is coming to an end, Cena is far from an on-screen authority position as he's busy leaving his mark in Hollywood with Baron Corbin and Kurt Angle at the helm of the red brand.

To give them some credit, not every single prediction was off the mark. They did claim that Roman Reigns would be on a WrestleMania winning streak.

Although The Big Dog has had to step away from the WWE because of his leukemia diagnosis, he's only lost at WrestleMania once since the article was published, losing to Brock Lesnar this year after big wins over The Undertaker and Triple H.

MONEY IN THE BANK

That's perhaps as good as it gets, as they also predicted that Hideo Itami would be Mr. Money in the Bank.

As we know, the Japanese star hasn't had incredible success in WWE and after an underwhelming NXT run, he's now on 205 Live and way off a Money in the Bank win.

They also claimed that NXT will go head to head with RAW for brand supremacy. That doesn't mean it's about which show produces the best product, but they thought that actual matches would take place at WrestleMania which would pit RAW's finest against NXT's best.

The prediction piece also stated that we'd see a WWE Network Champion - which hasn't been the case - while also stating that WrestleMania will be held in China.

The latter might happen one day, especially with WWE hosting major events around the world like Saudi Arabia and Australia.

Finally, the last prediction was that Dean Ambrose would be the longest WWE World Heavyweight Champion of the modern era.

While they can be forgiven slightly as the title doesn't exist anymore, it was AJ Styles who ended up closer to any modern-day record than The Lunatic Fringe.
