It's always an exciting time whenever an NXT superstar is finally called up to the main roster on either Monday Night RAW or SmackDown LIVE.
Although the excitement is usually around WrestleMania season, WWE now tends to scatter the call-ups throughout the year.
NXT CALL UP
While Aleister Black and Velveteen Dream have been linked with a move to the main roster, the confirmed move comes in the form of Lars Sullivan.
Since Survivor Series, vignettes have been playing to confirm that Lars Sullivan is leaving NXT.
The interesting about his call-up is that vignettes have been playing on both the red and blue brands. Usually, the brand which the star will move to only displays the vignettes, with SanitY being a recent example.
However, that could be for a very good reason as a new report has suggested that WWE might be reviving a classic angle to introduce the 30-year-old to the main roster audience.
According to PW Insider Elite Audio, WWE's plan for Sullivan could be similar to what happened with Bam Bam Bigelow all the way back in 1987.
The idea is that WWE will have Stephanie and Shane McMahon - the commissioners of RAW and SmackDown LIVE - battle it out in a bidding war over Sullivan and his dominance.
That's what happened with Bigelow and as of this writing, it hasn't been revealed exactly where the WWE plans on sending Sullivan.
There's also the chance that he could appear on both shows to showcase how dominant he really is which could spark a bidding war for his services.
Both brands would benefit greatly from his talents, even though he didn't have the most successful of NXT runs.
Both RAW and SmackDown boast plenty of big-men ranging from Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman to Samoa Joe.
Wherever he lands, fans will be hoping that he's used correctly as the talent is there to see.
Plenty of NXT stars have moved up with great potential but have fallen flat - nobody would have ever thought Enzo Amore and Big Cass' situation would have unfolded the way it did.
WWWE needs talented big men, and they have one in the form of Sullivan.
