Arsenal have once again secured bragging rights in North London after a heated 4-2 win over bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur. One player that was left out of the squad for the derby was Mesut Ozil, who was ruled out due to a back problem. The German international was also left out when fully fit against Bournemouth with Unai Emery claiming the physical presence of the Cherries would be too much for the playmaker.Aaron Ramsey on the other hand did feature, the Welshman came off the bench and made a noticeable impact, helping the Gunners close out the game.Ramsey is definitely leaving Arsenal at the end of the season with the player and club failing to agree on a new contract.

Romford Pele would pick Ramsey over Ozil

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has had his say on Ramsey's imminent departure and thinks that the 27-year-old would still have an important role at the club if he stayed.

The Romford Pele put the influence and importance of Ramsey above a certain Mesut Ozil too.

"We didn’t miss him yesterday, whereas I thought Ramsey made an impact in the second half."

The former England international also highlighted Ramsey's experience in what is a very promising yet youthful squad.

"Aaron has been there a long time, he’s been there for ten years, so you’ve got to look that as well."

Fans have had their say on Parlour's comments with the general consensus being that Arsenal may be making a mistake letting Ramsey go.

Parlour also commended the centre midfielder on his performances since the announcement of his departure.

Some players would sulk and say, “I’m leaving at the end of the season, so it doesn’t really matter”, but his attitude has been spot on.

"He knows he’s leaving at the end of the season, but he was brilliant in mid-week in the Europa League. I would rather have Aaron Ramsey."

Arsenal's complete performance on Sunday with Ozil will raise some eyebrows and suggest that maybe an Arsenal eleven without the German is better for the long term.
