Following Saturday night's exciting encounter between heavyweights Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder at the Staples Center in LA, which ended in a controversial draw, Fury's promoter Frank Warren has made some bold claims in a post-fight press conference.

Following Fury's fantastic recovery from being floored twice by Wilder, Warren now thinks that the Gypsy King is boxing's top dog, and that Anthony Joshua will carry on being Eddie Hearn's cash-cow.

During the press conference, Warren said, whilst talking about AJ, as per Daily Star: “He’s not the most powerful man in the division anymore.

"I said all along that when the best fight the best, it decides the No1.

"I know I am biased, but Tyson Fury is the No. 1 now, for me and maybe Wilder is No. 2 or is No. 1 joint with him.

“But Joshua is in the slipstream now because these guys went in and did it at good ages. They did it at their peak.

”They were not fighting old guys, it was not a passing-the-baton fight, Tyson is almost at his peak."

Warren then went on to comment on rival boxing promoter Barry Hearn.

"Joshua’s promoter Barry Hearn is no schmuck, he is an accountant, he has gone on the record to say they have a business plan that is all about selling tickets and making a lot of money."

Warren went on to say: "They said ‘we can fight Mickey Mouse and still sell all these tickets, we don’t care if he never fights Deontay Wilder' they are his words, he said them.

“As long as they can keep milking the cash cow that’s what they will do.”

And so it seems Warren isn't keen on Hearn's style of promoting.

The team behind Tyson Fury are committed to trying to get a rematch with Wilder as soon as they can, as they believe Fury was robbed of the victory, a view many fans share.

When talking about Anthony Joshua's future, Warren said: "I am now hearing Joshua’s next opponent for April 13 is not going to be Dillian Whyte and will be Oleksandr Usyk, let them get on with it. I

"know why they want to fight Usyk, he is a smaller guy and not much of a puncher."

It seems as though Tyson Fury is set on a rematch with Wilder, although whether it will be Fury, Wilder or even Dillian Whyte who will end up fighting Joshua, is still unclear.
