Alisson Becker delivered another impressive during Liverpool's 3-1 win over Burnley. The Reds needed to claim all three points to keep the pace with Manchester City and the visit to an out-of-form Burnley presented a decent opportunity to close the gap. However, Liverpool were in for a tougher game than expected and there must have been a few nerves in the away end when Jack Cork opened the scoring. It ensured there would be no clean sheet for Alisson, but the Brazilian goalkeeper didn't put a foot wrong for the rest of the game and ensured the visitors took all three points.Goals from James Milner and Roberto Firmino had swung the game in Liverpool's favour, only for Burnley to threaten in the dying seconds.

Burnley 1-3 Liverpool

It took a remarkable save from Alisson in the top left corner to deny an equaliser, before he collected the ball and quickly sparked a counterattack.

Liverpool raced up the other end of the pitch, eventually putting the game to bed virtue of Xherdan Shaqiri, rounding off a 3-1 result.

It will come as no surprise that Alisson received praise at Turf Moor and it wasn't just for his actions with the ball.

Allison's actions after the 3rd goal

That's because Liverpool's number one was also being applauded for his passionate reaction after the third goal, which television cameras unfortunately missed.

Alisson didn't escape the eagle eyes of Liverpool Echo journalist James Pearce, though, who saw the celebration in all its glory.

He documented how Alisson sprinted from his goal-line, running fully 40-yards, before doing a knee slide on the halfway line and embracing Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Now that's what you call passion - check out Pearce's tweet below:

There's an incredible team spirit around Liverpool right now and that's apparent in their celebrations.

Just a few days previously, Jurgen Klopp manically ran onto the pitch and hugged Alisson after Divock Origi's dramatic winner vs Everton.

And although there's a general acknowledgement that Manchester City are playing the better football, Liverpool simply aren't letting them out of their sight.

On current trajectory, Liverpool will certainly be in the mix this season and Alisson is playing a major role in that.

Not only is he producing virtuoso performances and match-winning saves, but he's also embodying the togetherness that Klopp is inspiring on Merseyside.

However, it doesn't get much easier for the Reds as they have a number of crucial matches over the Christmas period.

Games with Manchester United, Napoli and Arsenal will go a long way towards defining their season.
