Floyd Mayweather is currently preparing for an exhibition fight against Japanese kick boxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan, which he has billed as “nine minutes of entertainment,” in his latest foray into combat sports away from boxing.

Regardless of his upcoming fight with the Japanese star, Mayweather still continues to field questions regarding his next opponent, after he claimed he is the face of all combat sports.

Conor McGregor’s name is constantly mentioned as an opponent for Money, as is undefeated UFC juggernaut Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Mayweather has faced McGregor already in a boxing fight back in August 2017, beating the Irishman via TKO in the 10th round.

Despite this, their is still a huge amount of interest from fans for a rematch between the duo.

A collision between Mayweather and Nurmagomedov, however, would be an interesting fight for all, with the two never having faced each other before.

Most importantly from Mayweather’s point of view, the fight would no doubt gain a huge audience, therefore earning a lot of money in the process.

Mayweather has described himself as the face of combat sports, and says that if the Nurmagomedov fight happens or not, he’s still going to have a great life.

Speaking to MMAJunkie, Mayweather said: “I’m the face of just combat sports, period. Whether it’s boxing or MMA, I’m the face of it all.

“I’m not even worried about those guys. Conor McGregor, he already knows what happened with that.

“Khabib is running his mouth. He wants to get in there, I’ll take care of him, too.”

When continuing the conversation around a potential fight between himself and Nurmagomedov, Mayweather stated he didn’t mind either way about a potential fight.

“If it happens, it happens. If it don’t, I’m still going to have a great life,” explained Money.

Floyd Mayweather continues to be one of the biggest draws in combat sports, gaining huge audiences and earning huge amounts of money along the way, and the fact remains he doesn‘t have to fight either McGregor or Nurmagomedov.

It is highly likely, however, that he will face one of MMA’s biggest stars, as he continues to branch out his repertoire of skills to prove his abilities worldwide.

What Mayweather does next is sure to keep fans talking, and whatever direction he chooses it is guaranteed to gain huge interest from combat sport fans around the world.
