Something unusual happened during Juventus' latest game, Cristiano Ronaldo didn't score.Since moving to Turin this summer, the 33-year-old has continued his fantastic form from Real Madrid and already boasts an enviable record of 11 strikes in just 19 appearances. So it's credit to Ronaldo when people are surprised that he didn't score and Mario Mandzukic was the man to bag the winner against Inter Milan on Friday night.Although the fixture isn't what it used to be, the visit of Inter represented a tough challenge for a Juventus side looking to bulldoze all before them this season.Inter find themselves in third place in Serie A, hot on the heels of Napoli and keeping their city rivals AC Milan at range.

Juventus 1-0 Inter Milan

Nevertheless, despite only being two places behind Juventus, the gap is now over 14 points with the Old Lady boasting an almost perfect record of 14 wins, one draw and zero defeats.

And although Ronaldo didn't find the back of the net in their latest win, he was certainly active during the match and became the first player in Europe's top five leagues to produce 100 shots this season.

They came from varying opportunities with Ronaldo once again struggling from free-kicks in Italy but also forcing Samir Handanovic into a number of key saves.

Ronaldo's audacious bicycle kick

However, one of his attempts came in rather acrobatic fashion during the first-half and it looked all too similar to a classic Ronaldo moment.

That's because the Portuguese attempted an audacious bicycle kick from the edge of the area, showing almost identical technique to his iconic goal against Juventus in April.

At the same end of the same stadium, Ronaldo leapt brilliantly in the air but couldn't create enough power to trouble Handanovic who collected the ball.

That being said, plenty of fans noticed the moment and couldn't get enough of Ronaldo attempting such a daring volley. Check out some of the tweets down below:

Just imagine the pandemonium if that hit the back of the net, it could actually have bettered his previous bicycle kick at the Allianz Arena.

Supporters are starting to notice Ronaldo trying the volley more often this season and he certainly has history when it comes to going for the spectacular.

When it comes to bicycle kicks, though, his success rate is actually rather low and the contemporary attempt in question can be seen during his highlights below (skip to 2:40):

Of course, executing a bicycle kick is by no means an easy feat and attempting one from the edge of the penalty area can only be admired.

But football fans would just love it if Ronaldo produced one more at Juventus, bringing his recent history of wonder goals full circle.

When at 33-year-old you can maintain that sort of technique through the air, you wouldn't put it past Ronaldo to conjure up another screamer.
