The Red Devils were excellent in the first half and went into the interval 3-0 up thanks to goals from Ashley Young, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku - the latter's first home goal of the season.

An Aboubakar Kamara penalty got Fulham on the scoresheet but Marcus Rashford ensured United recorded their biggest win of the campaign with a lethal 82nd-minute strike.

Rashford's recent form

Prior to Man United 4-1 Fulham, Rashford hadn't scored a goal since his late winner away to Bournemouth back on November 3.

However, he created both of United's goals in the 2-2 draw at Southampton and has really impressed both fans and Mourinho with his selfless work-rate for the team of late.

Rashford has stood out in his last three appearances, and immediately before that was the 1-0 victory over Young Boys in the Champions League.

Marouane Fellaini rolled home a 91st-minute winner but Mourinho grabbed the headlines for shaking his head seconds after Rashford missed an early one-on-one chance.

The "Special One" was criticised by several big names for his reaction, from Gary Lineker to United legends Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes.

Fans point out Rashford's displays since Mourinho reaction

Critics claimed that Mourinho's head-shake would kill Rashford's confidence, however fans have pointed out that the 21-year-old's been on fire ever since.

Whether or not Rashford took a lot of notice to Mourinho's negative Young Boys reaction, it certainly hasn't harmed his displays - in fact, he seems even more determined.

With Anthony Martial not fit enough to feature against Fulham, Rashford starred from the left-wing but United's number ten can also play on the right and through the middle.

He'll look to keep his good form going as United, now sixth, desperately try to close the gap to the top four, beginning with next weekend's trip to league leaders Liverpool.
