Tottenham and Liverpool both have dates with destiny tomorrow night in the Champions League.

Spurs need to equal or better Inter Milan's result against PSV when they travel to Barcelona, while Liverpool simply have to beat Napoli at Anfield.

For Spurs, the task is harder on paper, given the fact that it's at the Nou Camp and Barca have a little man called Lionel Messi on their books.

Nevertheless, with the Blaugrana already confirmed as group winners and a tough away day at Levante on Sunday, there is the prospect of Ernesto Valverde making significant changes.

But just how far will the rotation go?

Well, according to trusted Catalan publication Sport, the Barca boss is set to make a whole host of changes, with it being labelled an 'unprecedented' team selection.

In goal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen will sit out for Dutchman Jasper Cillessen, while Nelson Semedo is the only first-choice option set to feature in defence.

Thomas Vermaelen, Juan Brandariz - better known as Chumi - and left-back Juan Miranda could all come in, creating a defence that Harry Kane will be licking his lips at.

In midfield, Denis Suarez and Carles Alena should feature from the start alongside Arthur Melo, while 18-year-old Oriol Busquets should get a lengthy runout as well.

With Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal all not starting, the onus will be on Spurs to dominate the midfield.

Further forward, Munir and Philippe Coutinho are set to take two of the three attacking spots, with Ousmane Dembele likely to be cut from the squad - Malcom is ruled out with injury.

As for Luis Suarez and Messi, Sport are unsure how Valverde will use the pair, with one of them likely to take up the third spot in the attacking trident.

LIKELY BARCA STARTING XI: Cillessen, Semedo, Vermaelen, Chumi, Miranda, Denis, Arthur, Alena, Munir, Suarez, Coutinho.

If that is indeed the team Valverde picks, Spurs will surely be favourites to progress to the last-16 with Barca.
