Typically speaking, the WWE has already made its plans for WrestleMania by December.

Vince McMahon usually maps what he wants to happen at WrestleMania and books his pay-per-views in the year leading up to the event accordingly.

With Roman Reigns battling luekaemia and stepping away from the industry, it seems like the company has no clear path to WrestleMania 35.

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey seem the obvious candidates to headline the WWE's biggest show next April given the momentum both ladies have behind them.

Having the tagline as the first-ever women's main event is something the WWE can easily push and sell, too.

However, the Universal title is still something of a main attraction at the show for the WWE and according to different reports, Vince McMahon and Triple H have different ideas when it comes to who should compete for and win that belt in New Jersey.

Triple H is apparently lobbying for Brock Lesnar to hold the belt until WrestleMania and then have Seth Rollins challenge The Beast - and win.

Vince, on the other hand, wants to see Strowman defeat Lesnar at the Royal Rumble and face Drew McIntyre for the strap at the Show of Shows, with The Scottish Terminator winning his first world title in WWE.

Now, both ideas have their merits. A lot of fans would like to see Drew McIntyre ascend to the top of the mountain and plenty of people would like to see Strowman dethrone Lesnar, too.

McIntyre getting his crowning moment at WrestleMania as a heel is a strange idea, but the pairing of two big men like McIntyre and the Monster Among Men has so much potential.

Then you have Seth Rollins. The Kingslayer is, quite easily, the best performer in the company right now and has the most equity built up with fans.

If there was ever going to be a 'regular' full-time talent that could finally beat Lesnar - and kind of do it for Roman Reigns in the process - there is a readymade money storyline for you right there. The fans would totally get behind Rollins climbing the mountain once more.

While it will be interesting to see how all of these talents are positioned in the coming months as we hit WrestleMania season, history tells us Vince McMahon always gets what he wants.
