Another game, another match-winning goal from Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.

Last weekend saw the Egyptian score a stunning hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Bournemouth to fire Liverpool to the top of the Premier League.

And on Tuesday night in the Champions League, Salah secured his side a place in the last 16 with a lovely solo goal against Napoli.

In the 34th minute, Salah received a pass from James Milner to spin past one defender, beat Kalidou Koulibaly and then fire underneath Arsenal loanee David Ospina.

Cue hysteria at Anfield as Liverpool fans erupted and Liverpool players swarmed Salah to celebrate a hugely important goal.

Salah, though, was rather muted with his celebration.

Just like he did for each of his goals against Bournemouth, Salah showed hardly any emotion as he walked towards the corner flag and just stared into the stands.

It was a strange reaction to scoring such a great and important goal and it led Liverpool fans to speculate why Salah isn't smiling anymore when he scores for them.

Is he unhappy? Is he trying to look cool? Is he sending a message to his doubters who think he's a one-season wonder?

No one really knows, but former Liverpool striker Luis Garcia has provided a theory on why he thinks Salah hasn't been celebrating recently.

Speaking on BT Sport after the game, Garcia suggested Salah's behaviour is because he isn't finding scoring as easy as last year.

Salah, despite scoring 13 goals in the Premier League and Champions League combined this season, has been quite wasteful in front of goal at times and hasn't looked as confident.

So perhaps his muted celebrations are the 26-year-old's way of showing frustration at his form compared to last season, when everything he touched turned to gold.

"Why do you think he's not smiling when he scores at the moment?" Lineker asked Garcia, to which the Spaniard responded: "Well, we still don't know.

"I think he's not feeling the same as he did last year. Last year everything was coming easy and this year he's struggling in a few of the games.

"[He's] having chances and not scoring. [He's] probably trying to prove himself and, well, today once again he done it."

Interesting. Liverpool fans are actually enjoying Salah's new way of celebrating at the moment, but hopefully it won't be long before the Egypt international is smiling again.
