Real Madrid's Champions League campaign has not been the greatest so far this season.

Los Blancos may have finished top of the group, but they were beaten twice by Russian side CSKA Moscow.

They lost 1-0 out in the Russian capital and were then humbled 3-0 at the Bernabeu tonight.

Santiago Solari put out a slightly weakened side, but it was team littered with quality players in Karim Benzema, Isco and Marco Asensio.

However, they were powerless to stop the Russian side, who were actually 2-0 up at half-time.

And the man who bore most of the frustration from fans was Isco, who has endured a very hard time at the club since Solari's arrival.

The Spanish playmaker was jeered by fans and appeared to gesture back to them at one point.

Reports from Spain have suggested there have been internal problems regarding the former Malaga man and Marcelo made another odd revelation about his teammate after the loss.

The Brazilian left-back explained that Isco actually refused the captain's armband when he tried to offer it to him.

"I tried to give the armband to Isco [when I came off for Dani Carvajal]," the captain for the night told reporters, per AS. "But he told me that I had to give it to Carvajal. I don't know what the reason for that was."

Given Isco's current situation, it was probably information that didn't need revealing by Marcelo.

The Brazilian was then asked about his colleague's 'gesture' to the crowd, dismissing it as an interaction with the official.

"I didn't see Isco's reaction," he said. "but I don't think it was against the fans. We're here to give our all for this club. We're really hurting, but all we can do is recover and focus on the weekend."

The situation with the Spaniard is certainly one to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.
