WWE fans are a frustrated bunch right now and given the product Raw has been putting out over the past three weeks it's easy to see why.
During that time, Raw has recorded the lowest TV ratings in history - twice.
Although ratings aren't the be-all and end-all, it certainly does seem like the company's flagship show is devoid of real star power right now with Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns on the sideline, in addition to popular acts like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
However, WrestleMania season generally starts with the Royal Rumble at the end of January and that's when business really picks up for the WWE.
The Royal Rumble is always full of surprises for the WWE and the coveted number 30 spot - which in theory gives a competitor the best chance of winning - always garners a lot of attention.
This year, the WWE has decided to grant the winners of the Mixed Match Challenge the number 30 slots in their respective men's or women's Royal Rumble.
The final of the Mixed Match Challenge - which streams live on Facebook every week - is set to be Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox versus R-Truth and Carmella.
Dave Meltzer noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that the WWE are bound to change those plans and have someone huge enter at the 30 spot.
“I smell a swerve in that number 30 men’s spot. They have to, because I can’t imagine they’re gonna do the whole Royal Rumble and everyone knows R-Truth is coming out at number 30. Or you know, who’s the other choice? Jinder. It ain’t gonna be him. Whichever one, I think we ’re gonna get a big surprise.
"I don’t know who it’s gonna be but I can’t imagine — I could be dead wrong — but I can’t imagine doing a whole Royal Rumble and then number 30 [be either Mahal or Truth].”
Carmella coming out 30th in the women's Rumble would be fine, but any of the other three in that spot is underwhelming for fans. It's one of the most anticipated moments of the year and the WWE can't risk it falling flat.
There have been rumours that The Rock was set to make a surprise return and win the Royal Rumble in 2019 before Roman Reigns went down with leukemia, but now that's off the table.
Other rumours suggest the WWE might use it as a way for Lars Sullivan to introduce himself to everybody, but they would really have to drag out his vignettes to make that happen.
Who do you think should have the honour of entering the Royal Rumble at number 30?
