WWE has been going through a tough time lately, as evidenced by viewership numbers dropping increasingly over the last few months. The 'A-show' Monday Night Raw has been producing record-low figures as we head towards 2019, a damning indictment of where the company stands with the fans right now.To be fair, they were dealt a bad hand by the unfortunate loss of Roman Reigns and injury to Braun Strowman, but there's no excuse for the terrible writing that's seen Baron Corbin dominate screen time.Things of course may get better as we head towards the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania - the two biggest shows of the calendar - but there's no guarantee of that.SmackDown has also seen the ratings and viewers drop, not as drastic as its red brand counterpart, but considering they put on a much better product on a weekly basis, it's perhaps just unlucky that they don't get as many eyes watching than they do.So what is WWE's masterplan to try and regain some of the viewers they've lost?It is to bring back the boss himself, Vince McMahon.

The live crowd always seem to go nuts for Vince whenever he makes a rare appearance nowadays on WWE programming, but you'd think that they'd be less than warm towards him now as the lack of quality on show is pretty much all down to his vision.

Now it all boils down to what he's really appearing for, as it seems like he's going to make a big announcement.

And the fact that WWE have revealed the fact he is going to 'shake things up' could suggest that another Superstar Shake-up is about to happen.

The last one occurred the week after WrestleMania 34 back in April, and to be fair it always creates some intrigue when it comes around.

But it could be something completely different and unexpected - an idea banded about by fans on social media is that he could announce that Triple H is taking over from him as he concentrates on venturing back into American Football again with the XFL in 2020.

Wishful thinking though...
