Jarrell Miller has claimed he wants to fight Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden in 2019.
The pair were both in attendance at Canelo Alvarez's win over Rocky Fielding in New York last night.
Joshua, who is yet to make his American debut has a wealth of options to choose from for his next opponent, with Wembley already reserved for April 13th next year.
Tyson Fury has been keen to take on his fellow countryman since his return to professional boxing, although it is believed Joshua's first choice is Deontay Wilder.
However, given how difficult it was for the two parties to reach an agreement earlier this year, the likes of Fury, Miller, Oleksandr Usyk and even Wladimir Klitschko have been touted as possible opponents.
Miller, who has confronted Joshua in the past has reignited hopes of bout, stating he would like to 'punch him in the face.'
"I'm looking forward to seeing him again and face-off with him," Miller told Sky Sports. "It's all fun, it's not personal, only business.
"AJ is a great champion, doing his thing outside and inside the ring, but sooner or later I'm going to punch him in the face.
"Anybody that has the belt, that's how I feel. I feel like I can beat AJ any day, I know I can beat Deontay."
When asked about a possible venue for a fight, Miller said, "Madison Square Garden is the Mecca of boxing. I don't care what anybody says.
"If AJ wants to come to America, this is the place to do it."
Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn who also has ties with Miller said, "I do know that Anthony Joshua against Jarrell Miller at Madison Square Garden would be something very, very special.
"Jarrell is doing great, he's going to come over to Britain I believe for the Dillian Whyte fight, and he's doing great things.
"Probably the most active heavyweight out there at the moment, and I tell you, Joshua against Miller is going to be a big fight in time. You never know, you might see it sooner than you think."
