Fabinho's lovely 'La Croqueta' skill during Liverpool 3-1 Man Utd

Fabinho vs Man Utd

Fabinho has well and truly arrived in the Premier League.

The £40m summer signing from Monaco was eased into his new environment by Jurgen Klopp and the manager's patience is really paying off now.

The Brazilian was the best player on the park in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Manchester United, providing a sumptuous assist for Sadio Mane's opening goal.

Fabinho managed to combine tenacity in the middle of the park with some serious Brazilian flair, making Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic look like amateurs.

He appears to be the final piece of the jigsaw for Liverpool, with every department across the pitch now brimming with quality.

And Fabinho showed in one moment against United just what he adds to the team, producing a lovely piece of skill on the edge of the area.

It's a move you associate with players like Neymar, not a tall defensive midfielder.

Having a player in such an important position that can produce moments of magic like that will frighten any opponent.

Just look at how much success Barcelona have had with Sergio Busquets at the base of their midfield regularly showcasing his class on the ball.

Worth every penny.

In his post-match press conference, Klopp was full of praise for his new midfield general and was quick to point out the wealth of talent he has available.

"He [Fabinho] was outstanding. Absolutely outstanding," Klopp said, per Goal.

"But I don't like these questions, the thing I don't hear is that it says something about other players as well. I know you don't mean it like this.

"On Tuesday, we played against Napoli one of the best games of the season, an outstandingly strong opponent, we played with [James] Milner, [Jordan] Henderson and [Georginio] Wijnaldum in midfield.

"That's what I said. It's the heart and soul of the game we need. And as long as we can make these changes, we will make these changes. That's how it is. They have fresh legs and are fresh in the mind. Always they go for it.

"Then they have a game like Fabinho had, along with Gini fantastic, Naby [Keita] played so naturally smart in that half-space because it's not easy to defend a winger and everybody is shouting, 'Don't stay there inside' and stuff like that.

"Fabinho played at the highest level, that's true."
