Liverpool’s superiority over Manchester United was on full show in their meeting at Anfield on Sunday. There was already a 16-point difference between the two clubs before kick-off and Liverpool showed that that was no fluke with a dominant display against their rivals.Jurgen Klopp’s side attempted 36 shots compared to just six from Man United. It was men against boys in Gary Neville’s opinion.“I have to say, if you take out that Alisson mistake, it was men against boys, wasn't it? There was only really one good team out there,” the former Man United defender said on the Gary Neville Podcast.“Today, they're poles apart in every department, Liverpool and Manchester United.”Liverpool fans very much enjoyed listening to Neville and Roy Keane bemoaning what’s happening at Man United right now on Sky Sports.

Peter Drury's commentary was first class

But they weren’t treated to the delightful commentary of Peter Drury.

Drury was on commentary duty for The Sports Network and he showed just why he’s among the best in the business with his superb take on Liverpool’s goals.

Just listen to the energy that he brought…

“SHAQIRI WINS IT IN FRONT OF THE KOP!” Drury shouted after Xherdan Shaqiri made it 3-1.

“Liverpool top, in front of the Kop. And they’ve put the Manchester United ghost behind them.”

That’s how it’s done.

Liverpool fans reacted by heaping praise on Drury.

Martin Tyler took the lead for Sky Sports

There is a perceived notion that Martin Tyler, Sky Sports’ lead commentator, has an allegiance to Man United and this hasn’t made him very popular among Liverpool supporters.

But he’s actually a fan of Woking, which he admitted to in an interview with the Mirror in January.

“I support Woking and I am quite happy to say that,” Tyler told the newspaper.

“How can I be a Man United fan when I’ve got excited about [Sergio] Aguero. All I do is react to the game.

“It’s a great bonus to not have a Premier League team. I’m probably the only commentator to not have a Premier League club.”
