On Monday Night Raw this week, Vince McMahon announced that himself, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Triple H would be taking full control of both Raw and SmackDown as a collective authority and would book in accordance to the wishes of the WWE fans.Progression towards this goal took a huge step last night on SmackDown Live in Fresno, California during the main event, as a big finish took place to close out the blue brand show for the week.First off, SmackDown's main event had AJ Styles and newest blue brand member Mustafa Ali team up against the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Andrade "Cien" Almas. It was essentially a mixture of present and future of SmackDown, which was great to see.It was a fun tag team main event for the WWE fans watching SmackDown to enjoy, and it included a finish which nobody saw coming.During the end sequence of the match, Ali was able to hit the 054 on Bryan and pin the WWE Champion to take the victory for his team alongside Styles. That's right, Ali, The Heart of 205 Live, pinned the WWE Champion in the middle of the ring to the surprise of us all.

Nevertheless, it was a pleasant surprise.

This was Ali's first big win on SmackDown after losing in a singles match to Bryan last week. He is now a full member of WWE's blue brand, and his booking last night shows there could be a bright future ahead of him on the show.

Not only could the pin on Bryan lead to another WWE title match down the road in the near future, but it seems as though both Ali and Almas could feud at some point in the future as well and be the next best men's rivalry after whoever the WWE Champion is facing.

After being one of the most consistently excellent performers in 2018, it looks like Ali could be launching to the top of the card in 2019 which is great to see.
