Immediately after SmackDown Live went off the air this week, WWE taped their Christmas Day edition of the blue brand show which will be broadcasted next week.

However, thanks to those that attended SmackDown this week in Fresno, California, we already know what happened during the taped show.

Beware, spoilers ahead!

During the show's main event, Shinsuke Nakamura defended his United States Championship against Rusev.

However, Rusev Day pinned The King of Strong Style after a Machka kick to win the United States title for the third time in his career. Nakamura's United States title reign ends after 156 days, or 163 days as recognised by WWE.

Here are the full spoilers for next week's Christmas Day edition of SmackDown according to NoDQ:

- Sanity & The Bar vs Usos faced Gallows and Anderson with The New Day on commentary. Anderson and Gallows hit the Magic Killer on Cesaro for the victory.

- R-Truth and Carmella came out for a promo with R-Truth dressed as Santa and Carmella dressed as Mrs. Claus. Daniel Bryan interrupted and yelled at them for being a part of the culture that’s ruining the planet. Bryan also called R-Truth fickle for believing in Santa Claus too. There was a dance break and then Bryan attacked R-Truth.

- Mustafa Ali defeated Andrade Cien Almas with the 054.

- There was a Miz TV segment with The Miz and Shane McMahon. The Best in the World trophy had a Santa hat. Miz asked Shane about being his partner and Shane said,“You better not screw me or there will be major consequences... okay, let’s try this.” The two hugged and there were yes chants.

- Jeff Hardy defeated Samoa Joe by count out and Joe choked out Hardy at ringside after the match.

- Rusev defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to win the US Title with the Machka kick in the main event.

This could turn out to be a great move by WWE as part of their wholesale changes to Raw and SmackDown as, following Rusev's United States title win, fans may be more inclined to watch the blue brand on Christmas to see the title change for themselves.
