Manchester City have never regained a trophy in their history. But they took one big step in doing just that after beating Leicester in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on penalties.City won the competition last season after beating Arsenal 3-0 in the final at Wembley - marking Pep Guardiola’s first trophy as manager of the club.Of course, the Citizens also went on to win the Premier League and will be looking to win that once again this season but, with the final coming in February, the Carabao Cup could be City’s first trophy of the campaign.Joining City in the semi-finals were League One Burton, who beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Riverside Stadium.Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Chelsea face Bournemouth, while Arsenal take on north London rivals Tottenham in a bid to reach the semi-finals.The draw for the last-four is set to take place after those two matches.Or has it already taken place? After City and Burton progressed, Craig Bellamy - who was the pundit in the Sky Sports studio - appeared to confirmed that the two clubs will meet in the next round.Host Scott Minto asked Bellamy if City will now fancy their chances of winning the competition, to which the Welshman replied: “Of course they will but they’ve got Burton. Great to see Burton go through.”Minto quickly chipped in with: “Yeah, we’ll have to see with the draw tomorrow night, of course.”

But Minto’s comment wasn’t enough to throw football fans off the scent, who now believe the semi-final draw is fixed.
