There's been many complaints regarding the WWE product in recent weeks, but the company are going about their business trying to fix them.
The higher-ups had clearly heard about the concerns on social media when Seth Rollins cut a promo towards then-acting General Manager Baron Corbin about declining viewing figures and constant rematches.
It seemed like the creative team and Vince McMahon wanted a person to pin the blame on and in this case they chose Corbin.
But there was cause for optimism this past week when the whole McMahon family, including Triple H, appeared on Monday Night Raw to announce that the WWE Universe would be the 'authority'.
They also promised that because of the failing ratings there would be a 'fresh start' on both brands, when really it's only Raw that needs re-setting.
And with a 'fresh start' comes new superstars, and also the chance for ones cast aside in recent times to reinvigorate themselves.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, per a post on Reddit, WWE could be giving that chance to a fan favourite - Finn Balor.
Balor's had a bit of a rough time since capturing the Universal Championship in his first month on the main roster in 2016.
The injury sustained in the bout he won the belt in against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam kept him out of action for nearly eight months, but upon his return he was stuck in the mid-card, fighting for the Intercontinental Championship and then against Bray Wyatt.
That continued into 2018, and it was only four months ago he got his rematch for the Universal Championship two years after he lost it, in a losing effort to Roman Reigns.
But a surprise win came against Drew McIntyre at TLC this past weekend, which is set to be the start of a revitalised push for the Demon King.
With no world champion on Raw currently, it's expected that Balor will be an entrant into the 2019 Royal Rumble, and there's much uncertainty over who will challenge Brock Lesnar or Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 35.
Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins seem like obvious candidates, but if he really is pushed back into the main event scene, Balor could be the one to take on Lesnar for the first-time ever at Mania.
