The Royal Rumble pay-per-view may not take place until January 27, but the WWE has already begun building towards their first big show of the new year.Besides the traditional men's and women's Royal Rumble matches, only one other match had been booked for the event. That was the Universal title match between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman after the latter's win at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs earlier this month. However, following an advertisement on Main Event, WWE has booked another match for the 2019 Royal Rumble at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The advertisement on WWE Main Event, which you can see for yourself further down, shows that Becky Lynch will get her rematch for the SmackDown Women's Championship against Asuka. The Man lost the SmackDown Women's title against The Empress of Tomorrow at TLC in the first-ever Women's TLC match in the WWE, which was also a triple threat match that included Charlotte Flair.

It will be interesting to see if this match happens, as it could mean Lynch pulls double duty on the night.

Becky is currently the favourite to win the Women's Royal Rumble match on the same night, which would be her pathway towards fighting against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania later on in the year, continuing their feud on from Survivor Series.

Due to this possible booking against Rousey, it would likely mean that The Man loses her SmackDown Women's title rematch earlier on in the night against The Empress of Tomorrow.

Women's wrestling in the WWE is at an all-time high at the moment in large part thanks to the performances of Asuka and Becky in the ring, and it's only going to get better as we approach WrestleMania season.

Asuka recently revealed during an interview with Tokyo Sports that Vince McMahon himself called their TLC match "great," while also adding that he was "very pleased with it."

Now it looks like WWE is rewarding her efforts in the ring with a huge title defense at the Royal Rumble next month, which is great to see.
