When looking back on the year, many WWE fans will say that one of the breakout superstars of 2018 was Becky Lynch for her work in the company's women's division.Lynch has transformed herself into The Man on SmackDown Live over the past couple of months, and it all stemmed from her heel turn on Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam earlier in the year.Since then, while being pushed as a heel, fans have been going against the establishment of WWE and cheering for her instead due to her standout performances in the ring. This has catapulted her to the top of the superstar ladder in the company. Her feud with Ronda Rousey ahead of Survivor Series, and prior to her face injury, has been her highlight of 2018, and it has resulted in The Man essentially already being booked to face Rowdy in the main event of WrestleMania next year.Becky has caught everyone's attention, even some of the biggest names in the history of WWE like John Cena, who had plenty of good things to say about her in a recent interview.During an interview to promote his new Bumblebee movie, Cena praised Lynch and said, via Wrestling Inc: "I love any instance where people feel comfortable enough with self to be expressive.

"For so long I didn't know what or who Becky Lynch was, and now I do, and that fires me up."

The Man responded to the comments on Twitter in a delightful manner, saying she found her voice this year, but everyone else better step up in 2019 as she won't be held down again.

She said: "I found my voice in 2018. That simple, powerful thing left the rest scrambling to catch up. In 2019 everybody better step up because nothing or no-one is going to hold me down again."

WWE has rewarded Lynch for putting on an incredible first-ever TLC match at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs earlier this month against Asuka and Charlotte Flair, where she lost the SmackDown Women's Championship to Asuka.

The Man has already been booked in a rematch for the SmackDown Women's title against The Empress of Tomorrow at the Royal Rumble, which takes place at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27.
