Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon made an announcement that aims to change WWE for the better and to give the fans a show they deserve.

Vince announced that himself, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, and Triple H would be taking full control of Raw and SmackDown as a collective authority, and will book to serve the wishes of the WWE fans.

The Game added as well that new faces, new stars, and new concepts would be seen in the company over the coming months, but it seems as though some developing storylines will also be scrapped.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via NoDQ, some storylines have been dropped by WWE as a result of the McMahon family shake-up.

These storylines are Alexa Bliss as Raw general manager, Paige as SmackDown general manager, Shane McMahon's heel turn following his World Cup win at Crown Jewel, the fallout from Smackdown being shut out at Survivor Series, and Lucha House Party rules.

The first three on that list were to be major storylines in the WWE, so this is quite a change for the company as we approach the new year.

Bliss was expected to take over Baron Corbin as Raw general manager since she hasn't wrestled for a couple of months as she's reportedly been dealing with injuries and a concussion.

The former women's champion still hasn't been cleared to compete again and wasn't part of the Christmas Eve Raw tapings this past week, so it's unclear what story direction she will have moving forward.

As for Paige, she has thrived as SmackDown general manager since her appointment, so it's disappointing to see her be removed from the position on the blue brand. Reports have stated she might only be used on pre-show panels moving forward, which is a shame.

As for Shane's heel turn, he hasn't really done much on SmackDown since winning the World Cup except for having a few segments with The Miz. During the Christmas Day SmackDown taping, the two formed a tag team, so this could be how Shane is booked moving forward.
