When the women's revolution started back in 2015 - in earnest anyway - there was a long way to go before women could be legit draws in the company.

Little by little over the past three-and-a-half years, the women have broken historic ground and chalked up a healthy list of first-evers.

Match types like TLC, Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank and the Royal Rumble have all taken place and the women have shone in the process.

Speaking of the Royal Rumble, the WWE announced during Main Event that Becky Lynch will be challenging Asuka for her SmackDown Live Women's title.

The Man had been the favourite to win the Women's Royal Rumble due to it being her easiest route to meet Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. That's been the rumoured main event since around Survivor Series and seeing they are both on different brands, a Rumble win would make the world of sense.

However, Jon Fisher reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast that Charlotte is said to be a lock to main event WrestleMania 35 and Vince McMahon and co. have already told her she will.

“A good source told me within the last week or so that despite the booking of the TLC match with Charlotte, Asuka, and Becky Lynch before the Charlotte/ Ronda Rousey match at Survivor Series that Charlotte was told that she’d be in the main event of WrestleMania.”

While it's possible that Charlotte could get involved in a triple-threat with Rousey and Lynch - and it would make sense storyline wise - it's highly unlikely that Flair will replace either woman.

Lynch is the hottest act in the whole WWE right now and fans will want to see her in the main event of WrestleMania. On the other hand, Rousey is the company's picked star and given her mainstream appeal, she's also a guarantee for the top spot.

Plans are always known to change in the WWE and Charlotte would be the first to know that. Maybe Flair will win the Women's Rumble?
