With Vince McMahon announcing the shake-up earlier this week on Monday Night RAW, some of the focus is falling on how much importance the NXT call-ups will receive.

As announced, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, Heavy Machinery, Lars Sullivan and EC3 will be leaving NXT to join either Monday Night RAW or SmackDown LIVE.

NXT

As reported this week, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer claimed that he heard a source stating that Heavy Machinery will only succeed on the main roster if Vince is seriously impressed by Otis Dozovic.

Now, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that there are some more concerns about NXT stars - apart from Lars Sullivan who will be getting some sort of a pass.

According to Rajah, the Observer has reported that Triple H doesn't want any of the 'star' call-ups to fail from NXT because that not only reflect badly on him but it also reflects poorly on the brand.

For example, if any of the current names that have been announced end up flopping, it won't look as bad as they were never considered star talent in NXT, unlike some other obvious names.

One of those is The Freak, Sullivan.

The source has added that Sullivan is an exception here as he's expected to receive every opportunity in the world to get over. So, if he does end up failing it won't be due to a lack of effort from the WWE.

THE FREAK

It's expected that Sullivan is going to get a monster push in the WWE and big things are in store for him.

Some weeks ago, it was thought that a storyline the WWE could run with was a bidding war between SmackDown LIVE and Monday Night RAW, with the highest bidder securing his services.

However, with the shake-up now scrapping multiple storylines, it remains to be seen how the company initially uses him.

It's also been claimed in the past that The Game is unhappy with how his NXT stars have been portrayed in the past on the main roster, with many failing to live up to their potential.

In the case of Sullivan, it seems as if he might be a big advocate backstage to have him in a top position on the main roster.
