Liverpool's 2-0 win against Wolves on Friday night was once again all about two men: Mohamed Salah and the impregnable Virgil van Dijk.

Salah scored the opening goal with a lovely finish and then assisted Van Dijk, who timed his run to perfection and volleyed home from close range for 2-0.

Van Dijk was also phenomenal defensively as he kept speed merchant Adama Traore at bay and recorded yet another clean sheet.

Praise has since come in thick and fast for the Dutchman, with Liverpool fans now confident that he's not only the best centre-back in the Premier League right now, but in the world.

And you can see why.

Van Dijk, who towers over most footballers at 6' 4", possesses all the attributes needed to be one of the world's best, such as strength, pace, composure and intelligence.

Every week the 27-year-old dominates at the back and even his Liverpool teammate, Andy Robertson, said recently that he's "getting bored of saying how good he is".

Robertson added: "He's been fantastic [since joining Liverpool]. I've had the pleasure of working alongside him for the majority of time on the left-hand side of the defence.

"He's just a great lad to have next to you - I'm not sure he will say the same about me! I think we have had a good relationship, we work [well] together."

Liverpool fans have fallen in love with Van Dijk and now one Kopite has created a compilation video of his best moments this season for club and country.

In the video below you can see Van Dijk keeping up with Kylian Mbappe, beating Willian in a foot race, bossing Troy Deeney and making numerous important blocks, tackles and interceptions.

What a monster. Van Dijk has proved an absolute bargain at £75m and if he steers Liverpool to the Premier League title this season, it will be hard to argue that he's the world's best centre-back.
