A few comments made by Road Warrior Animal on his podcast this week about the WWE haven't gone down well with many fans of the company, and they haven't gone down well with WWE's hottest star right now in Becky Lynch either.

The WWE Hall of Famer commented on a few topics on his What A Rush! podcast recently including the TLC pay-per-view, the rise of Becky Lynch and women's wrestling in the company.

Animal commented on the rise of women's wrestling over recent years, and he said he believes it's becoming an issue because they're starting to main event shows.

He said, via WrestleZone: "There is a problem in the wrestling business. Yes, the women’s movement is growing, but when the women are the main event and they have the best matches on your card, there’s an issue."

The WWE Hall of Famer further showed his old school ways when he commented on the rise of Becky Lynch, who has arguably been the biggest breakout star in the WWE in 2018.

He said: "I would let her back off of ‘The Man’ thing and let her just be a pure white meat babyface that doesn’t quit. Those are the kind of babyfaces that work. When you come out there with the attitude and strutting your stuff like she’s some kind of tough guy, come on!

"Jesus, Lord, anybody that’s ever been in a fight can see right through it and I’m just being realistic because that’s what works in this business. You’ve got to think shoot and work the shoot and right now they’re not taking advantage of their stars who are stars."

Becky Lynch fires back at Road Warrior Animal for his negative comments about women main eventing WWE shows

These comments by Animal caught the attention of The Man herself, who responded to the claims by tweeting about WrestleZone's story on Twitter.

Lynch said: "The first four words of your headline are a lie," as their headline read 'Road Warrior Animal Thinks Becky Lynch Should 'Back Off Of The Man Thing''

There's a very strong chance that Animal's comments will not have an effect on future WWE booking, as The Man is the hottest superstar in the entire company right now.

In fact, several reports have suggested that she, alongside Ronda Rousey, could be the first two female superstars to main event WrestleMania when The Showcase of the Immortals takes place in 2019.
