Ronda Rousey played a huge hand in the outcome of the women's triple threat TLC match for SmackDown Women's Championship at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs, and now she's explained why she did.
Rousey interfered in the match to help Asuka win and defeat Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at TLC to become the SmackDown Women's Champion.
This isn't the first time which Rowdy has been involved in a big WWE moment including The Empress of Tomorrow, as she debuted in the WWE when Asuka won the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble back in January.
During a recent Q&A on her YouTube channel, the Raw Women's Champion explained why she interfered in the SmackDown Women's title match at TLC and helped Asuka win.
She said, via Ringside News: “I have a lot of respect for Asuka and I’ve always have. I didn’t really want to rain on her parade at the Royal Rumble. I just wanted to come out and congratulate her and bring more eyes to her incredible moment. She didn’t seem too thrilled about that.
"At TLC, both Charlotte and Becky are a bunch of cheaters, they had it coming to them. I don’t have to explain my actions to anybody. I was completely justified by my actions.
"Payback is a b—- and Askua deserves to be champion more than either of them. She’s never had to cheat. She never had to walk out of a match because she was losing. She’s just the best and now she’s the champ.”
Although this is clearly a kayfabe answer, it's good that the Raw Women's Champion has explained her actions. Rousey's interference in the women's TLC match adds another dynamic to her storylines with both The Man and The Queen.
Rowdy is expected to face The Man in the main event of WrestleMania in 2019, so there's bound to be more interesting angles between them as we go through WrestleMania season, especially at the Royal Rumble.
