2018 has been an incredible year for Seth Rollins, as he's arguably been the best superstar on WWE's Monday Night Raw brand with brilliant matches and promos on the red brand.

The Architect started the year off having to rebound from losing two tag partners to injury in Dean Ambrose and Jason Jordan, as well as having multiple plans change for his WrestleMania match.

He then was part of a fantastic triple threat that saw him win the Intercontinental Championship, before dominating in a two-hour Gauntlet match on Raw, where he competed for over an hour.

Rollins then squared off against Dolph Ziggler in a long feud over the summer and is now rivals once more with Ambrose.

TLC may have not have been the best night for the former Intercontinental Champion, but 2018 overall for him has been brilliant, and he reflected on the year as a whole in a recent Instagram post.

Rollins praised the WWE fans for their constant support throughout the year.

He said: "This year was my favorite year in professional wrestling because it was the most intentional of my career. At the start of 2018, there wasn't a lot of buzz around me and some people were wondering (including me) if maybe my best years were behind me.

"With the support of my friends, my fans, and my WWE family I was able to capitalize on opportunities given and transform that doubt into momentum.

"I hit a stride so smooth that my confidence shot through the stratosphere. I began to flourish in the roles of general and leader. I was able to travel the world, make new friends, share the ring with some of the most talented humans on the planet, and learn a little about a lot I didn't know before.

"I don't know what 2019 is gonna look like, but I am forever grateful that I am able to experience the life I've been given. Thank you to everyone out there that played any part in making my 2018 what it was. It's never too late to turn it all around."

2019 could be an even bigger year for The Architect as, following the conclusion to his rivalry with Ambrose, he is rumoured to be feuding with Brock Lesnar which will culminate with a Universal title match at WrestleMania.
