Kylian Mbappe is the most exciting young player in football, it's safe to say.

While other players are making names for themselves, Mbappe is doing things that haven't been done in decades.

His performances at the World Cup this year saw him become the first teenager since Pele to bag two in a knockout game before becoming the first teenager since the great man to score in a final.

That's a level that quite clearly puts him among the very elite of football and you can barely imagine a better start to a football career.

His enormous move to Paris Saint-Germain has brought him further honours to go with the Ligue 1 title he won in his sole full season with Monaco.

The World Cup win, in which his role was a starring one, means Mbappe may have reached the peak of his career already.

Although according to the Director who helped play him to Monaco, he most certainly hasn't.

Luis Campos was talking to Telefoot in France and made some bold predictions about the 20-year-old.

“Kylian represents champagne football, which we like to see and as a high-level footballer I see him wearing the Real Madrid jersey because it is a club made to his measure, where the great players want to go," he said (via Goal).

“In the future, I imagine myself attending a match at the Santiago Bernabeu and enjoying the show that Mbappe can offer."

More than that, Campos compared Mbappe to Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo - and he believes he'll surpass the Juventus man.

“Nowadays, he is more decisive than Neymar and considering his age, he'll be much better than Cristiano Ronaldo - I see him winning more Ballons d’Or," he said.

Considering no one has ever won more Ballons d'Or than Ronaldo, with only Lionel Messi equaling him, that is a very bold claim and one that is likely to spark debate.

Can Mbappe reach that level? Only time will tell - but he's off to one hell of a start.
