Alberto Moreno's career at Liverpool hasn't been littered with positives.

The Spanish left-back arrived at Anfield from Sevilla in 2014 with a glowing reputation, but he will sadly be more remembered in the Premier League for his defensive errors.

He has shown glimpses of quality during his four years in England, but the arrival of Andrew Robertson has pretty much made first-team opportunities impossible to come by.

He's made just two Premier League appearances in 2018/19 and looks all but certain to head back to Spain in the January transfer window.

And it seems Moreno is not happy with the way he has been treated by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, as he has given a rather scathing interview about his current situation.

“I do not feel good, that is the truth,” Moreno told Cadena Ser, per Football Espana.

“I hurt myself giving everything for this team and I think that when I came back from injury, I deserved an opportunity.

“The situation is normal for a lot of players but simply I did not like the way he [Klopp] has treated me, you can say that.

“Moving back to Spain is something I have thought about, I am tired of the cold here but I do not know about interests from other clubs.

“I am in my fifth year here, there is no agreement on a renewal and in January I am free to listen to any offer.”

It sounds like life hasn't been easy for Moreno.

Klopp even used James Milner as a left-back for pretty much the entirety of the 2016/17 season despite Moreno being fully fit.

The fact that the Spaniard remained at the club last season was surprising, but him remaining on Merseyside this summer is utterly baffling.

January cannot come soon enough for a player simply not cut out for the Premier League - like many aren't.
